Apart from LUMINE Shinjuku 1, there are LUMINE Shinjuku 2 and LUMINE EST.  Each has its own distinct feature. 

LUMINE 2 focuses on people in their 20s with more regular clothing. And, LUMINE EST focuses on the teens and latest trendy designs for the youth.

Where is LUMINE 1 in Shinjuku?

Of the three, LUMINE 1 and 2 are near the South Exit of Shinjuku Station – the Keio Line. Yes, it is directly connected to Shinjuku Station – Tokyo’s busiest railway station.

United Arrows on Basement 1 for Women’s Wear

If you like high-end fashion with a touch of sophistication, United Arrows knows how to nail it. The clothes, accessories, and Chrome Heart sunglasses will spoil you with choices. There’s a men’s section on floor 1 as well.

Tomorrowland on Basement 1 for Women’s Wear

Tomorrowland redefined the effortless style. The casual wears of Tomorrowland are designed for comfort without any compromise on quality. The women’s floor is quite spacious and has got you covered with all of your favourite brands. 

Estnation Bis on Floor 2 

It is another clothing brand with outerwear, shoes, and accessories that are worth checking out at Lumine 1, Shinjuku.

Seijo Ishii on Basement 2

A cool little supermarket, Seijo Ishii is popular for its premium cheesecake, lunch boxes, alcohol and foreign imported foods. It remains open from 8 AM to 10 PM throughout the week. 

AP by American Pharmacy on Floor 2

If you don’t find certain pharmacy things in other parts of Tokyo, this is the place you should head to. It’s right beside Seijo Ishii.

Starbucks on Floor 6

If you are tired from all the shopping, take a quick coffee break at Starbucks. Do not expect it to be fancy like other Starbucks. It’s got everything you would need for a good time.

Tsubame Grill on Floor 7

One of the best places to eat at Lumine 1 Shinjuku, Tsubame Grill is known for its hamburger steak and tomato salad. With nice interior and relatively quiet atmosphere, you can either opt for lunch or dinner here.

Is there a Best Time to Visit LUMINE 1?

To avoid the crowd, the office hours on weekdays are the best time to visit LUMINE 1. 11 AM to 3 PM is your perfect time for a relaxed shopping experience. 

Evenings are good, too. Post 7 PM for dining and late-night shopping.

  • If you are travelling in time of season sales, utilise it properly
  • Carry your passport to take advantage of tax-free shopping – make the purchase first and then head to the customer counter for the tax refund on the 5th floor
  • Avoid shopping at LUMINE 1 Shinjuku on the weekends and holidays
  • Keep an eye out for Japanese limited edition items

  • Right at the entrance, check out all the names of the stores to get around with ease

Is LUMINE 1 Shinjuku Worth It?

Yes, absolutely. It is the best place to shop without any headache in Tokyo, along with LUMINE 2 and LUMINE EST. 

Apart from these malls, Tokyo also has the Mitsukoshi Isetan Shinjuku Store, Shinjuku Takashimaya, Keio Department Store, NEWoMan Shinjuku, etc, which are great places to shop till you drop.
