This depends entirely on how many places you want to explore. Some of the famous tourist destinations in Udaipur are Fateh Sagar Lake, Saheliyon ki Bari, The Lake Palace, Sunset Terrace, Jagmandir Palace. You can easily explore these places in about 2 to 3 days.

Additionally, if you are interested in attending fun and happening cultural festivals and events, then you can add a day or two more to your itinerary. Some of the popular festivals that take place in Udaipur are World Living Heritage Festival in October, Shilpgram Art Fair in November/December, Kumbalgarh Festival in December, and Udaipur World Music Festival in February.

I understand it may not be possible to attend every festival that Udaipur hosts during winter, but you can choose the one that excites you the most and then plan your solo trip around those dates! Trust me. You don’t want to miss out on these festivals. They are so much fun!

How many winter clothes should you pack for my solo trip to Udaipur during winter?

I would recommend that you decide how many winter clothes to pack depending on how long your solo trip is going to be. As I mentioned in the last answer, it does get quite cold in the winter season. In my opinion, you can pack these clothing items:

  • A warm sweater in a neutral colour (so that you can pair it up with any outfit)
  • A beanie cap
  • A good pair of boots
  • 2-3 pairs of jeggings and stocking
  • A couple of thermals to keep you warm throughout the day

If you pack light clothes, I would say layering would be a good option. You can layer a thin sweater with an oversized warm t-shirt, along with a pair of comfortable jeans and shoes. This way, you won’t have to pack heavy clothes and overload your luggage!
