Just like the exotic and lavish travel and tourist destinations, Dubai leaves no stones unturned when it comes to food too. Among the thousands of restaurants available in Dubai, most of them serve each and every cuisine across the globe that you can think of. Be it Arabian, Indian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Sri Lankan, Turkish or Lebanese- you will get it all in Dubai! To keep the taste of foreign cuisines as authentic as possible, Dubai brings in chefs and restaurant chains from their home countries!

If you are planning a solo trip to Dubai, I guarantee that you’d experience a wide variety of cuisines and food items. If you are also someone who prioritises taste, restaurant ambience, and views over other factors, then this blog is for you.

I will be sharing some of the top must-visit restaurants in Dubai. I had the privilege of exploring some of these on my solo trip to this glamourous country. Read on to know more.

1. Dubai Creek Dinner Cruise

A solo trip to Dubai is incomplete without visiting the Dubai Creek. It is the place where the story of Dubai started! 

A dinner meal on the Dubai Creek Cruise will definitely turn out to be an authentic and beautiful experience for you. You can get to taste different cuisines from all around the world while sailing on the calm and beautiful waters of the creek! It is a 2-in-1 offer of delicious dining food as well as sightseeing in one of the most stunning places in the country.

You will have no experience match up to this one, both in terms of the delicious food you devour and the hospitality and ambience! What makes this dinner meal a rather special one is the view of the sky-high elegant buildings bathing in lights and their reflection falling on the clear water of the creek.

2. Amaseena

Amaseena, this beautiful restaurant is located at the Ritz Carlton Jumeirah Hotel in Dubai. One of the popular restaurants you will find in the Dubai Marina area serves delicious, authentic Arabian food. 

The decor and ambience at the restaurant are quite breathtaking. The owners have set up Bedouin-style tents where visitors come and relish the meals. Not to forget, the tents are kept under the starlit sky, which makes the experience of having a meal here all the more unique and fascinating!

If you want to try out authentic Arabian food, then Amaseena must definitely be on your list of restaurants to visit in Dubai!

3. Calicut Paragon

If you have a keen interest in trying out different cuisines from all around the world, then you must definitely try out Indian cuisine! Calicut Paragon is an Indian restaurant that offers delicious food at affordable prices. Popular for its finger-licking-good curries, the restaurant is quite famous in the Karama area. 

Their most popular food dishes are cheese-stuffed mushrooms and spinach pakoras. However, the seafood at Calicut Paragon is what attracts a major chunk of the visitors and people of Dubai. If you love seafood, you can try the whole pomfret in a spicy rub, fruity mango fish curry, and crab masala!

Being an Indian myself, I had to try out some dishes from this famous Indian restaurant in Dubai on my solo trip. Honestly, the restaurant delivers what it claims, and everything I devoured was extremely delicious!

4. Atmosphere

What can be more memorable than having a meal on the 122nd floor of the iconic Burj Khalifa? Well, At.mosphere is a popular restaurant in Dubai. It is just two floors below the top-most floor of the Burj Khalifa, and the total distance from the ground is 442 meters. Along with serving mouthwatering delicious meals, the restaurant is also a Guinness World Record holder for the ‘highest restaurant from ground level’! Doesn’t this make it a reason enough to have a delicious meal here with the perfect view of the landscapes?

5. Al-Ustad Special Kebab

A famous and one of the oldest restaurants in Dubai, Al-Ustad Special Kebab serves authentic Iranian food. It is located near Meena Bazaar, Bur Dubai. Famous for its authentic kebabs, the restaurant offers all its kebab variants at a reasonable price. So, if you are someone who has a tight budget after exploring and shopping in Dubai, you can head out to Al-Ustad Special Kebab for a delicious budget-friendly meal! 

On my solo trip to Dubai, I met a few locals, and upon interacting with them, they suggested I check out Al-Ustad Special Kebab to have some delicious kebabs. And trust me when I say this, the kebabs are extremely tasty and just melt in your mouth! You can have plenty of these without burning a hole in your pocket.

6. The Shore

Known for its beautiful beaches, who wouldn’t want to have a meal on one of the Dubai beaches? Located on the Atlantis beach, The Shore is a famous Mexican restaurant. What makes this restaurant a must-visit are the views. On one side, you get a stunning view of the beach, and on the other, the magnificent view of the sky-high tower of Dubai Marine!

If you plan a solo trip to Dubai, do check out The Shore. It is considered one of the best for their wonderful services by friendly and helpful staff. 

7. Sea Fu

Famous for its delicious seafood, Sea Fu is in close proximity to Jumeirah Beach and Pools. If you are a seafood lover, then you must definitely visit this restaurant on your solo trip to Dubai. Most customers of Sea Fu swear by the fine taste of all the seafood dishes! Along with the taste, the classy and chic ambience adds a bonus point to the restaurant.

You can enjoy the beautiful beach view in the afternoon along with a Mediterranean meal and their special velvety wine!

I visited Sea Fu to try out their authentic Mediterranean cuisine. Well, there is only one thing I would say about my experience there, the place is worth the hype! A must-check out for all seafood lovers!

8. Delhi Darbar

Another must-visit restaurant in Dubai for Indian cuisine, Delhi Darbar, is a popular one among visitors and Arabians alike. Imported from a small chain in Mumbai, Delhi Darbar quickly became one of the favourites in Dubai. Their popular dishes include tandoori kebabs, spicy meat biryani, and curries. 

Being from India myself, I couldn’t help but try out the dishes in Dubai’s Delhi Darbar. In my opinion, the dishes taste exactly the same as the Delhi Darbar in India.

9. Pai Thai

Thai cuisine is one of the best in the world. Pai Thai is located near Madinat Jumeirah, Al Qasr, and is one of the best restaurants that serve authentic Thai cuisine in Dubai. Famous for its lip-smacking dishes, Pai Thai attracts many customers at most times of the year. It has earned many awards for an impressive variety of starters, drinks, main course, and desserts!

If you happen to go on a solo trip to Dubai, don’t forget to visit Pai Thai for authentic Thai food that tastes exactly like the food back in Thailand! 

10. Din Tai Fung

This restaurant chain hails from Taiwan and is set up inside the Dubai Mall of the Emirates. People visit Din Tai Fung for its world-class dumplings! Other favourites among the locals and visitors include xiao long bao, noodles, and vegetable dishes, all of which are freshly prepared to keep their authentic taste intact.

If you happen to visit the Dubai Mall of the Emirates, do not forget to check this popular restaurant. As you explore other tourist places inside the mall, such as Ski Dubai, you can head to Din Tai Fung for a quick meal!

On my solo trip to Dubai, as I was shopping in the Dubai Mall of the Emirates, the huge crowd near the restaurant got me intrigued. One thing led to another, and I ended up having Din Tai Fung’s mouthwatering dumplings!

11. Segreto

A hidden gem in the glamorous city, Segreto serves authentic Italian dishes. Located on a rooftop terrace, the restaurant offers its visitors a cosy dining experience along with breathtaking views of the Madinat Jumeriah. 

Their menu consists of a wide variety of dishes made with authentic ingredients that will take you back to the cosy bistros in Italy! Well, who doesn’t like a good Italian meal, right? Check this place out to have an authentic Italian meal on your solo trip to Dubai.

I am a huge fan of Italian food, so I had to try out the dishes at this hidden gem. And honestly, the dishes are extremely delicious. I wonder why not many people know about it even after serving such tasty delicacies at a reasonable price.

12. Ravi Restaurant

This amazing gem of a restaurant in Dubai is a Pakistan eatery. It is very popular among the locals and visitors of Dubai for its mouthwatering delicacies. Even though there is not much difference between Indian and Pakistani delicacies, the latter does use a different set of spices and a few ingredients, which make it stand out in a way. You can try out any dish from the menu, and it will not disappoint you! However, their popular ones include chicken Mughlai, a type of chicken cream curry with shaved eggs and spicy meat chops. 

Having heard so much about this restaurant from the locals, I had to try out their popular dishes. And believe me, it lives up to the hype! These dishes make a great street food experience that you must definitely try out. And also, the prices are quite affordable, so you can have as much food you want without having to worry about the bill.

13. Logma

A contemporary restaurant with a wide range of Middle Eastern cuisine, Logma is a must-visit restaurant in Dubai. It offers its visitors a very modern yet elegant ambience and decor with honeyed woods and some quirky camel motifs around! It is famous among the locals for its delish Middle Eastern breakfast dishes such as pancake-like chebab with date syrup, and saffron scrambled eggs. Some of the other popular dishes at Logma are healthy and nutritious salads, traditional dessert options, including saffron milk cake!

If you want some great breakfast to start off your day exploring Dubai, you must check this place out. It has some great breakfast dishes at reasonable prices. If you want to have a unique local experience in Dubai, this restaurant is your safe bet. Don’t forget to try out the chips Oman paratha. It is sort of a flaky flatbread filled with cream cheese, hot sauces, and crunchy crisps. It is literally heaven, and I’m not even kidding!

14. Al Mallah

Located in the bustling area of Satwa on 2nd December Street, Al Mallah was established in 1979. Some locals even call this restaurant to be ‘as old as Dubai,’ isn’t that interesting? It is one of the most authentic restaurants that serve delicious Lebanese cuisine. 

Al Mallah is famous for many reasons, one of them being their shawarma rolls. These are prepared with minced meat, chicken, or lamb, sometimes both, wrapped in a hot Arabian flatbread along with lots of healthy vegetables, sauces, spices, and cream!

15. Karma Kafe

This elegant restaurant is famous for its Asian cuisine. The interiors and decor have been done beautifully and give you a lavish yet modern feel as soon as you enter the restaurant. Karma Kafe has been quite innovative with their menu that offers several dishes of the Indian cuisine, and each one is better than the other! Not just the Indian dishes, the restaurant has slightly expanded the menu by offering a few of the other cuisines from around the globe. 

Karma Kafe can be a bit expensive for a solo traveller. However, the delish food items and ambience make up for it!
