What are the Things to Do in Arambol?

Goa has a lot to offer its visitors, and Arambol is one such jewel in North Goa. It is a small fishing village with spectacular beaches, tranquil lakes, and adventurous cliffs. Arambol offers an exquisite list of things to do for all visitors. You might be a solo traveller or with your family or friends—Goa will be your unforgettable vacation

I’m sharing my list of top favourite places to visit and things to do in Arambol. Let’s start!

Places to visit in Arambol

On my list of favourite places to visit in Arambol are

  • Arambol Beach
  • Arambol Sweet Water Lake
  • Keri Beach
  • Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

Arambol Beach

Surrounded by lush green vegetation and rocky cliffs, Arambol Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Goa. Unlike any commercial beaches in North Goa, Arambol beach is less crowded and preferred by tourists looking for privacy. Beach shacks and shops line up on the beach. The shacks provide delicious Goan food and drinks, and the shops sell all unique souvenirs. If you do not want to spend your hard-earned money, you can swim, sunbathe, or just sit by the shore and do a bit of meditation! If you are an adventure lover, you are in for the best paragliding experience. The rocky cliffs surrounding the beach offer the best atmosphere for paragliding. You can even spot dolphins frequently visiting these waters. Altogether, it is a wholesome experience!

Arambol Sweet Water Lake

From Arambol Beach, you can walk through the street shops in the area and reach the Arambol Sweet Water Lake. You get a tantalising view of the beach, the cliffs, and the mesmerising sunset. You can have a mud bath here and then head to the beach to sunbathe. Watching the beautiful sunset from the lake will give you a breath-taking experience. You will thank me later!

Keri Beach

The northernmost beach of Arambol is Keri Beach. Keri Beach is also less frequented by tourists and offers you a secluded vacation. The picture-perfect sandy beach bordered by numerous palm trees gives you the best serene experience.

Keri Beach also offers various water sports, including paragliding. So you cannot run short of water sports in Arambol! Also, keep in mind that most water sports will not be available during the off-season. Speaking of seasons, you can check out my blog post on the best time to visit Goa. It comes in handy if you’re visiting Goa for the first time.

While on Keri beach, do not miss the delicious seafood served at the beach shacks and restaurants here.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church

The Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is one of the magnificent churches in old Goa. Just a few minutes trek off the road, and you find the spectacular church. I’d say it is true Goan architecture at its finest! The picturesque setting adds to the serenity of the church and makes you click at least a dozen pictures! You can visit the church on a Sunday during the mass time to check out the interiors. You can also feel the positive aura of the place if you are a spiritual person.

Water sports for the adrenaline junkies

Arambol Beach, Paliem beach, and Keri Beach offer numerous adventure sports activities for their visitors. The rocky cliffs in Arambol beach provide the best paragliding experience. If swimming is your yoga, then Arambol Beach is your best fit! It even houses surfing clubs that offer surfing lessons and boards for rent. Even if you know nothing about surfing, you can learn some basics here without any second thought! I had no clue about surfing before going to Goa, but I managed to balance on the board for a few mins (personal achievement!) after a couple of lessons.
