Goa, a hippie paradise, is famous for its beautiful beaches, vibrant nightlife, and exotic cuisine. If you have ever been to Goa, you might agree with me here. But did you also know that Goa is every shopaholic’s paradise? There is so much that you can shop from Goa and take home a little piece of it with you as a souvenir! Many flea markets, stalls, and shops sell a wide range of exquisite items worth checking out once. Among numerous markets and bazaars, Anjuna Flea Market is the most prominent.

What is Anjuna Flea Market?

Located in Anjuna, this flea market is set up only on Wednesdays between October and May. It is the perfect place for shopaholics and tourists looking for souvenirs and other items at a very low rate. And these items are of good quality as well. Anjuna Flea Market started in the 1960s as a way for hippie travellers to barter their products and items. Over the years, it became very famous, and most locals and tourists started visiting this flea market regularly.

The flea market has pretty much everything you can think of. From everyday household items to piercing and tattoo stalls, you name it, and you will find it here!

Anjuna Flea Market is particularly famous for authentic Nepali and Tibetan items. So, if you are looking for those, definitely visit this flea market on your next solo trip to Goa. You can check out the stalls selling mouthwatering Goan street food. The food is one of a kind and a must-try for people who love indulging in different cuisines.

How to reach Anjuna Flea Market

Goa International Airport is at a distance of about 47 km from Anjuna Flea Market. The best and most convenient way to reach the flea market from the airport is via a cab or taxi. It will take you approximately 1.5 hours.

If you wish to take a bus, you must take a cab to Panaji Bus Stand. You can board a bus, which will take approximately 40 minutes.

While a direct cab from the airport is more convenient, taking a bus will help you save money. I would suggest you choose the option that’s more convenient and comfortable for you!

What is the best time to visit Anjuna Flea Market?

Anjuna Flea Market is set up every Wednesday at Anjuna Beach. It opens at 7 in the morning and closes at midnight. The best time to visit Anjuna Flea Market would be in the morning. The crowd would be less, and you can explore more at this hour!

However, if you get time, do visit the market in the late evening or at night. The ambience looks inviting with the stores and stalls lit up with lights!
